Kursat Osman AIIT CTA
Kursat is an AIIT CTA qualified VAT specialist, with over 14 years of VAT experience gained in practice, from mid-tier to big 4.
The broad experience he has allows him to take a truly sector agnostic approach, having had exposure to most sectors from small charities, to the largest oil producers in the world, and everything in between.
A typical week may see Kursat advising on property transactions, cross-border supplies of goods, partial exemption, electronically supplied services, non-business activities, or maximizing the various reliefs available.
Kursat’s approach is commercial, never relying on just the concepts, but more on how they should be applied practically, and the impact they have on businesses. He presents complex principles in plain English, often with an accompanying diagram, and takes pleasure in helping clients to feel less intimidated by the ever-changing VAT rules.
Some of his career highlights include editing the Orange Tax guide 2016&17, and more recently advising the Saudi Tax authorities on the introduction of new indirect tax legislation and policy.
In his spare time, when he is not entertaining his two children, he can often be found watching the latest K-Drama, reading a Murakami novel or dabbling in virtual reality.
